About
CELEBRATE. SUPPORT. PROMOTE.
North City Jazz Walk is proudly presented by the North City Business Association, thanks to generous support from the North City Neighborhood Association, the North City Water District, The Rotary Clubs of both Shoreline and Lake Forest Park, Gabbert Architects and Planners, and our generous sponsors.
NORTH CITY JAZZ WALK'S MISSION
To celebrate, support, and promote local jazz musicians and local businesses in the North City District of Shoreline for the enjoyment of all music lovers.
OUR HISTORY
SINCE 2007
After attending the Centrum Jazz Camp at Ft. Worden and the Port Townsend Jazz Festival, Shoreline local jazz musician Keith McClelland started imagining a similar event in his own neighborhood.
The newly redeveloped 15th Avenue NE offered a perfect opportunity—with plenty of local venues to host live jazz, complete with restaurants, sidewalks for strolling between bands, and plentiful parking.

Keith contacted Doug Reid, music professor at Shoreline Community College, and together they and members of the North City Business Association including Gary East, Steve Cook, and Ellen Sullivan formed the first Steering Committee for the first annual North City Jazz Walk in 2007.

Since then, the event has steadily expanded to become one of the most anticipated live jazz experiences in Seattle.

The North City Business Association is a Public Charity 501(c)(3) organization.
